Dementia has never had such a high profile, and this is due in large measure to Alzheimer's Society. As the largest and most influential dementia charity in the UK, we campaign for change, fund research to find a cure and support people living with dementia today. Our ambition is that people with dementia should be able to lead the lives they want without fear or prejudice.

In order to help tackle what is the greatest health and social care challenge of our time, we are looking for up to four trustees to strengthen our Board who offer a significant track record within their field in at least one of the following areas: governance of a large, complex organisation within a social care or health (NHS) setting or a large corporate; knowledge of governance, political and health or social care service provision of Northern Ireland; experience in marketing and managing budgets; candidates with an understanding of fundraising or digital would also be desirable.

We need strong strategic thinkers with sound judgement and relevant experience gained in either the public, private or voluntary sectors. Any successful non-executive experience would be advantageous. Along with confidence and breadth of vision, you must demonstrate real empathy with our vision and values.
